The Challenge
This is the hardest starting position in SEO: a brand-new domain, launched 1 July 2026, with no history, no authority, no backlinks, no rankings, and no brand search demand — competing in Karachi’s construction and renovation market against established contractors whose domains have been accumulating trust for years.
Local service SEO is unforgiving for newcomers. The money keywords — “epoxy flooring price in pakistan”, “bathroom renovation karachi”, “electrical contractors in karachi” — are commercial searches made by people close to hiring. Established competitors owned them. Google had no reason to trust a 30-day-old domain over them.
The constraint that shaped everything: off-page SEO was not on the table for phase one. No link building, no outreach, no digital PR. Every ranking, click, and impression had to be earned by the website itself — its structure, its on-page optimization, its content, and its technical foundation. If the foundation couldn’t rank on its own merits, there was no authority safety net to catch it.
The Strategy
Phase 1: Architecture for a contractor (Weeks 1–4)
Before a single ranking existed, we built the site like a local-service machine: a service × location silo structure where every trade (epoxy flooring, false ceiling, bathroom renovation, electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing…) got its own dedicated Karachi page, each targeting one commercial keyword cluster. Clean internal linking pushed authority from the homepage to money pages. Technical and on-page basics — crawlability, speed, schema, mobile rendering — were locked in from day one, because a new domain gets no second chances with Google’s first impression.
Phase 2: Commercial content, not blog filler (Weeks 4–8)
Instead of blogging for traffic, we built service pages engineered for the searches closest to a phone call: price-led queries (“epoxy flooring price in pakistan”), service + city queries (“bathroom renovation karachi”), and comparison queries. Each page answered the commercial question completely — pricing guidance, process, service areas — because Google’s local results reward the page that resolves the searcher’s intent, not the one with the most words.
Phase 3: Cluster depth on winners (Weeks 8–12)
Once early data showed epoxy flooring pulling ahead, we doubled down: supporting pages around the epoxy cluster (self-leveling epoxy prices, vinyl flooring, flooring hub) to build topical depth where traction already existed. The same playbook began for false ceiling and bathroom renovation. Fifteen-plus service pages ended the quarter ranking independently — the #1 page accounts for only ~16% of total clicks, which is exactly what a resilient local site looks like: no single point of failure. This is the kind of distributed, compounding growth our SEO services are built to deliver.
Phase 4: What’s next — the unused lever
Here’s the part competitors should worry about: everything above was achieved with zero off-page SEO. No link building has started. The site now sits at page-1 average position with 15+ ranking service pages and proven commercial clusters — which is precisely the foundation that makes off-page SEO explosive rather than compensatory. Authority will now amplify working pages instead of rescuing weak ones.
The Results
Ninety-two days. A domain that didn’t exist on 1 July ended 3 October with 1,456 organic clicks, 51,133 impressions, and an average position of 6.9 — page one of Google — across more than a thousand tracked queries. Daily clicks grew from 3.6 to 37.4 (over 10x); comparing the first 28 days to the last 28, clicks rose 358% and impressions 354%. There was not a single down month.
The quality of the traffic matters more than the volume: these are commercial, non-branded searches — “epoxy flooring price in pakistan” (96 clicks, position 6.29), “bathroom renovation karachi”, “false ceiling price in karachi” — people looking to hire, not browse. Brand search has started too, showing recall building from zero. And Google Analytics confirms real humans: 2,200 active users, 1,800 of them from organic search (two-thirds of all sessions) — plus 222 sessions from AI assistants like ChatGPT, meaning the site’s answer-first content is being cited beyond Google.

Questions People Ask About Local SEO
Can a brand-new domain really reach page 1 in 90 days?
Yes — this case study is the evidence. But note the conditions: a local market (not national e-commerce), commercial service keywords (not informational mega-queries), and a site built correctly from day one. New domains can rank fast when competition is local businesses rather than publishers, and when every page targets one clear intent. The 90-day window is realistic for local SEO done right; it’s fantasy for most national campaigns.
Do you need backlinks to rank locally?
Not to start. This entire result — 1,456 clicks, page-1 average position, 73 ranking pages — was achieved with zero link building. Backlinks amplify; they don’t create relevance. For local service queries, Google primarily needs to understand what you do, where you do it, and that your page answers the search better than the competitor next door.
How many service pages does a local business actually need?
More than one, fewer than you fear — but each must stand alone. This site ranks 73 pages, with 15+ service pages independently earning traffic. The pattern that worked: one page per trade per market, each targeting its own keyword cluster, interlinked in a clean silo.
What happens when off-page SEO starts?
That’s phase two, and the setup is ideal: page-1 positions, proven commercial clusters, and striking-distance keywords ready to absorb authority. Off-page SEO on top of a working foundation typically moves rankings faster than off-page used to compensate for a weak site.
